The Right Place, The Right Time, with the Right Message...

  • What is a Beacon?

A New Customer Engagement Experience -

Engaging at the right place, right time, with the right message.

A beacon is a small hardware device that transmits a Bluetooth signal at regular intervals. This signal is broadcasted in a certain format, a communication protocol that describes the string of characters and numbers that make up the signal. The two most common protocols that beacons use are Apple's iBeacon and Google's Eddystone. Like a lighthouse is to a sailor, beacons are to consumers... Based on their proximity customers get messages and/or interact with vendors and products based on their location.

    Source: Google Eddystone

    Beacons offer new ways to reach customers, engage with them, and drive sales;

Helping you deliver the content, offers and information consumers want; when and where it matters to them.

Beacons bridge the online and offline and gathering rich data, also serve other purposes, such as delivering coupons, indoor navigation, asset and employee tracking, keyless access, and more.

  • Why Use Beacon Technology?

Beacon Technology will have one of the strongest impacts on mobile technology and brand engagement ever witnessed. Beacons will be experienced everywhere from your local hospital, airports, sporting events, transportation and retail stores to the historical landmarks creating a "BeaconLinx" story to share and to experience with the implementation of Beacons.

  • Healthcare Solutions

The Benefits of Healthcare Beacon Solutions -

Solutions That Help Make Life Easier For Both Doctors & Patients

    eddystone heatlthcare

    Mobile Health

Mobile technology innovations today help provide solutions to a wide variety of problems. Mobile and associated technologies like Wi-Fi, GPS, and beacons are positively impacting both individuals and enterprises, across diverse industries. Even in the healthcare space, mobile phones are impacting people across the entire industry, be it patients, consumers, or healthcare providers.

    ibeacon healthcare

Mobile health has become an indispensable part of today’s hyper-connected world, where physicians and patients alike are prolific mobile adopters.

Beacon technology is among the most effective and efficient solutions that can be deployed in the healthcare space today for a wide variety of location based applications. Current use cases include:

    1. Personalization

Beacons have the ability to customize health content according to a patient or healthcare provider’s mobile phone history and current health information. Such personalization enables direct one to one conversations that are highly relevant and delivered at the right time.

    2. Electronic Health Records and Information

Beacon technology can enable patients and physicians to receive relevant information at the right moment, based on geo-location.

    3. In-door Navigation Systems

Given the growth of massive integrated health care facilities and multi-specialty hospitals, beacons can greatly help with indoor maps and navigation.

    4. Streamline Hospital Operations

Beacons can help automate internal operations at hospitals. Hospital staff can be notified about their daily duties and other emergency duties on their mobile phones when they they are near specific areas or devices.

    5. Increased Data and Analytics

One of the biggest advantages of iBeacon technology is its ability to collect a wealth of data that is contextual to the patient (this includes situations, location, and preferences). This provides data on the customer/patient experience.

    6. Patient and Staff Tracking

With beacons, all staff member and patient movement can be tracked including visits to patient rooms, allowing administration of care to be carefully documented.

    7. Facilities Management

Beacons also presents the opportunity for better tracking of vital hospital resources. Equipment can be better tracked and accessed when needed. Beacons simplify the process of accounting for vital tools, ensuring more efficient allocation around an entire facility.

    8. Hospital and Health Information

Visitors can receive valuable information on hospital services, venues, and resources in the moments that matter, when they are physically walking by. For instance, a visitor can be reminded of hospital hours as they enter through a streamlined push notification sent to their mobile home screen, receive an alert for parking validation as they head towards exit points, be alerted of daily food specials available in the cafeteria, or a coupon for a discount in the hospital gift shop.

    9. Enhanced Communications and Customer Experience

Beacon allows all visitors to receive highly relevant information depending on their location, all from the convenience of their mobile devices.

  • Real Estate Solutions

Deliver an outstanding buyer and seller experience using beacons.

    Enhancing the Buying Experience

The real estate business has taken note of Beacon technology and we are seeing an increasing number of real estate giants using the technology for showcasing their properties, interacting with prospective buyers, automating the buying process and more.

As real estate owner or agent, you can use beacons to make the buying process for a buyer much smoother in a number of ways.

    Eddystone beacons real estate

    Beacon Uses

    Enhancing the Real Estate Experience.

    Broadcast property information

An easy way to do this is to install beacons on ‘For Sale’ signs so that a passersby can get information about the property that he or she is in vicinity of. A bonus: you can enable this feature in a matter of minutes through a simple beacon campaign. This will help buyers make more informed decisions about the homes they wish to view or purchase, and will allow you to easily broadcast information about your properties to interested buyers.

Allow automated check-ins into your property

The beacon placed at the property’s entrance can detect your real estate app and thus prompt the respective visitor to register via the app. This benefits both sides of the buyer-seller interaction; as a seller you are now aware of all of the prospective buyers visiting your property; as a buyer, guests can have an enhanced experience via informational brochures and welcome messages sent during check-in. If you have specific agents for each property, they can be notified when there is a visitor on site and decide the next steps accordingly.

    Guided property tours

One of the best potential use cases of beacons in real estate is a guided property tour. When an interested buyer is at the property location, you could give them access to a virtual tour around the property. This will help to highlight features that they may not have noticed otherwise. This way they can see the property at their own pace, without losing the useful information of a traditional property tour.

    Other uses

Via your app or pushed website, buyers can call the agent, or you could send requested documents such as relevant property papers that will help buyers to make a decision then and there. You could also ask visitors to share their feedback about the property in order to understand buyer tastes better.

    Introduction to the Physical Web

Published on Jul 18, 2015 by Google's Scott Jenson

The Physical Web is an extension of the web into the physical world so you can walk up and interact with any device, from a lost dog collar to a zip Car, all without installing an application first. Every smart device links to a web page so things can offer simple information, like a phone number, or more complex interactions like unlocking a car door. With the Physical Web, your phone or tablet can find the things around you and let you interact with whatever you’re interested in. More information: http://github.com/google/physical-web

Digital Signage + The Physical Web

    Published on Apr 28, 2016

Using Physical Web technology and an Eddystone beacon, content on the interactive digital signage display is transmitted to the user's mobile device to provide a real-time "digital takeaway" of the display's information--whether it be pictures, videos, events or product information. This also enhances privacy and security for digital out-of-home (DOOH) ecommerce transactions by allowing the user to make the transaction on their mobile device rather than on a large public display--which increases the probability of a transaction.

In such a case, we will not share your personal information with the retailer if they do not already have it, or unless you allow it, but we will share your visit history with the retailer, or other interest you have shared with us (i.e. shopping for shoes), so that the retailer will be able to provide to you the content most relevant and useful to you.
For use with Friends If you choose to allow it, we will share your location with friends or with others with a common interest. For example, we may allow your friends to know that you are inside a restaurant.
